Custom Embroidery for Moschino
A Playful Collaboration
A few months ago, I was contacted on TikTok by Lily, the social media manager at Moschino. She told me that the team had discovered my work and wanted to collaborate on a custom embroidery piece. We hopped on a Google Meet call to talk things through, and that’s when she shared the brief: they wanted a beaded replica of Moschino’s iconic bleach bag, created with as much detail and personality as possible.
I was both excited and a little intimidated, recreating such a bold and well known design in beadwork is no small task. But after thinking it over, I agreed, and got straight to work.
The first step was ordering a wide range of beads to match the colors of the bag as closely as possible. Once everything arrived, I began the embroidery process, a true labor of love that ended up taking around thirty hours. Every little detail mattered. For the tiniest elements that beads couldn’t capture, I used cotton thread to make sure the design stayed sharp.
Seeing the final piece come together was a joy. I was genuinely proud of how it turned out, playful, detailed, and true to the original, while still carrying my own style.
Once shipped to their Milan headquarters, I received the most heartwarming feedback: the creative director loved it. Knowing that a brand I admire appreciated the care and detail I put into the work made the whole experience incredibly rewarding.
It was a true honor to contribute something handmade to such a bold and iconic fashion house.
